Muskuloskeletal Acupuncture

The use of Acupuncture within Physiotherapy treatment enhances the body’s ability to repair and promotes an improved recovery time, aiding other treatments to achieve the best outcome for the patient.

Acupuncture has often proved to be markedly effective in the reduction of musculoskeletal pain, chiefly by the release of pain inhibiting substances called endorphins into the body during the Acupuncture process. It is also frequently used to assist relaxation in specific muscles, to aid stretching and rehabilitation in muscle imbalances.

Acupuncture is now widely acknowledged as an effective complement to conventional medicine. The pre-sterilised, disposable needles are inserted into muscles or Acupuncture points located on the body. Generally Acupuncture is considered to be a very safe procedure.
