We understand that often a single discipline is not sufficient to provide you the best outcome.  Within Berkeley Centre Health we work as a team delivering hands on specialist physical therapies from expert practitioners across wide ranging disciplines.


Each associate team member maintains can demonstrate expertise in their field and maintains registration and insurance with each of their professional governing bodies.

Martin Bell
Clinical Director: Orthotist - Specialist in Orthotics, Biomechanics and Gait Analysis

Martin is an internationally recognised clinical specialist in human gait and his passion is to improve the way we walk. He also works for the NHS musculo-skeletal assessment team (5 years) as an extended scope practitioner and expert in biomechanics treating a wide variety of walking, running and sports related injuries.

A keen drummer, pianist and an enthusiastic club badminton player he enjoys using his clinical skills to continually improve his speed and agility on the court. He is married to Sue, with 2 gorgeous girls Chloe and Emily who successfully manage to fill up the rest of his time.

Sue Bell
Practice Manager

Sue provides the strategic management of the administrative responsibilities for the clinic.

Kate McEwan
Reflexologist and Foot Health Practitioner

With 14 years of experience, Kate works on the health of the body through the twin disciplines of Reflexology and Foot Healthcare to reduce/remove pain and restore health, vitality and balance to the individual.
Reflexology is an energy medicine which works through reflexes on the feet to reduce symptoms of ill-health, and relax the body. It can be an effective treatment for many kinds of health problems, and is also useful in supporting women through pregnancy. Because it is intensely relaxing it can have a dramatic impact on anxiety and stress levels.
During a Foot Healthcare treatment, Kate will cut toenails, reduce thickened nails, and remove hard skin, corns and calluses. Verrucae and fungal nails are also treated.

Sophie Sheldrake

Through her experience as a professional dance teacher and circus performer, Sophie has a gained a huge understanding of body function applied to professional level sport and dance.
She is able therefore to provide holistic assessment and treatment for wide ranging physical and emotional conditions, addressing health, posture and biomechanics.
Her focus is that each of her clients attain the highest level of health and emotional well-being and see transformation in their lives.

Esme Tulley
Holistic Massage Therapist

Esme creates bespoke personally tailored massage treatments.

Qualifying from the prestigious Bristol College of Massage and Bodywork in 2016 with a level 4 Diploma in Holistic massage she is fully insured and registered with MTI.

Esme loves being outdoors and walking in nature. She is passionate to promote wellbeing through self-care and uses holistic massage to help people achieve a good sense of wellness.

Holistic massage treats you as a whole person considering your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing and can help to restore balance to all body systems.

Alex Farley

Personal Trainer - Expert in Rehabilitation

Specialising in rehabilitation and strengthening, Craig provides Personal Training and muscular conditioning to promote healing and address issues of functional weakness.

As a qualified and skilled massage therapist he utilises both skills to combine exercise and manipulation to achieve greater outcomes.

Utilising the assessment techniques and clinical direction of Dr Stuart McGill he is skilled to guide you back to health, teaching you how to move safely, improving balance and control.
As a personal touch, he finishes each session of 121 physical training with deep tissue massage.

Dan Jacobs
Sports Therapist

Dan graduated with a BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy degree from the University of St Mark & St John and is registered with the STO and CNHC, both of which require high standards and a commitment to professionalism.

Dan is a keen runner and golfer, he has experience working in a specialist spinal rehabilitation clinic as well as a professional football club.

Dan works with a wide variety of clients but is particularly enjoys supporting elite athletes to reach peak performance.

Adam Carter

Adam Carter is a registered osteopath, who works alongside a comprehensive team of practitioners across three natural health centres in Bristol.

He offers treatment for a wide range of musculoskeletal problems, with a special interest in the treatment and rehabilitation of sports injuries.

Gemma Graham
McTimoney Chiropractor

Prosperity Chiropractic uses the McTimoney method which is well recognised as being a gentle, precise, whole body approach to chiropractic care, and uses quick, gentle and accurate adjustments which ensure your maximum comfort.
Gemma is a highly experienced and well respected practitioner within the clinic.
In conjunction with chiropractic, I also offer Sports Massage, Remedial Massage, Acupuncture, Kinesiology Taping and Exercise Rehabilitation, all of which add extra depth to the treatment sessions.
Gemma graduated with a BSc (Hons) degree from McTimoney Chiropractic College in 2004, and as such has 10 years experience in chiropractic and healthcare.

Owen Lynch

Owen qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2001 from the University of Nottingham and is registered with CSP and HCPC.

He gained significant experience across a spectrum of medical disciplines in the NHS before moving into treatment and rehabilitation in private practice.

Owen joined Berkeley Centre Health in 2010 and has many years of experience working with a wide cross-section of clients from athletes, professional dancers and acrobats to people who do sport for fun and fitness.

Owen works closely with some of Bristol’s top orthopaedic and neuro surgeons to provide post-operative rehabilitation.

Helen Bowes
Advanced Aesthetic Practitioner

Helen Bowes is highly respected throughout the UK as one of the most gifted and creative medical aesthetics practitioners. Helen is an internationally respected industry expert, Key Opinion Leader, researcher and a member of the advisory board for PDO threads at Intraline Lifestyle Aesthetics. Helen is also the Global training lead at Intraline for PDO thread lift, training doctors and nurses globally at advanced and masterclass level. In 2015 Helen was offered a prestigious role with Allergan (the manufacturer of BOTOX® and Juvederm) as an international trainer for doctors, nurses and dentists.
